Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I Need a Doctor’s Referral or Prescription for Physical Therapy?

No. In Washington State, you do not need a doctor’s referral to begin physical therapy. You can schedule an appointment directly with us. However, insurance requirements vary:

Some insurance plans cover physical therapy without a referral, while others require one. It’s always best to check with your insurance provider about your specific coverage. If you have Medicare or are receiving care through Worker’s Compensation, a referral/prescription is required.

Please note: You have the right to choose where you receive your physical therapy. Even if your doctor recommends a specific clinic, your referral is valid at any licensed PT clinic.

What Should I Wear?

Loose comfortable clothing is best. Shorts, if we need to access your knees or feet. Tank tops, if we need to access your shoulders.

How Long Are Appointments?
Physical Therapy appointments are 55 minutes.
Shockwave Therapy appointments are 15-25 minutes.
Pilates Sessions are 55minutes.
